Frequently
Asked Questions:
Do
I receive accommodation, while doing a dive course?
We have accommodation available for
our students from 200-500B per night.
Are
their any HIDDEN costs while doing a dive course?
No! All equipment, boat trips, instruction, certification costs
etc. are included in the price. However, we will need a passport
photo for your diving licenses etc.
I
heard you need a medical checkup to dive!?
If you can take part in normal sport activities, then you shouldn't
have any problems taking part in a diving course. We will require
you to fill in a medical statement
before we can take you diving. The medical form is a list of conditions
that MIGHT disqualify you from diving.
If you suffer from certain respiratory disorders, such as allergies
or asthma, then you should get checked by a physician at home
before coming here.
Getting
to Koh Tao......
From
Bangkok
The options of getting to Koh Tao from Bangkok can be overwhelming.
Generally speaking, by far the easiest way to get here is by flying
from Bangkok to Koh Samui and from the catch a speed- or express
boat. Bangkok Airways have several departures a day from Don Muang
Airport.
If
flying is beyond your budget, then we recommend taking the train
to Chumporn and from there a speed or express boat. Buy a combined
ticket from any small ticketing office at Khao San Road in Bangkok.
Check out all options. The State Railway of Thailand should be
helpful with specific enquiries and timetables.
Apart
from the above options, there are a million more air-con buses
and minibuses going from Bangkok down south.
From
Phuket, Krabi & Malaysia
Either
fly to Koh Samui or take bus or minibus to Surat Thani, the main
connection to Koh Tao and it's sister islands (Koh Phangan &
Koh Samui) in the Gulf of Thailand.
